If they are a Thomson daughter company then they are legit. I have dealt with them in the past in the Biotech industry but not in the IT area. Might be one to watch as they have the capital behind them to break into the IT market big time. Thanks for the link Keimos.

OK, just tried installing the A+ one and the 70-270 and they require a password to install. Did you sign up for a trial Keimos?

    Hi Baba O'Riley,

the password is the name of the file. eg, for the A+ it is c_a+.

I did not sign up for a trial, its just that I am trialling one of the CompTIA Press books. I had the advantage of some instructions. Sorry  should have mentioned that.

I tried the 70-270 one, got 79% so was quite chuffed (seeing as I havent been doing much learning over the last week or so)

the questions seemed a lot simpler than the transcenders.. not sure if thats a good or bad thing!!!

Hi - I just gave it a whirl. My score was crap but there was stuff there I've not covered yet. That's my excuse:D .
At the end you also get a very detailed report of the specific areas you need to concentrate on.
It did reassure me that some of the info is obviously sticking in the old grey matter, something I was beginning to doubt:rolleyes:

    Hi G1BB0 and BobT,

    Thanks for some feedback.

The A+ test is for the new exams.

Good work on the 70-270 but you need 80 to pass the M exams:eek:

Any more comments, especially comparisons would be most welcome.

Just had a quick whirl on the A+ questions, seems very similar to the Transcender questions. I think I'll definitely be using the MCP exams to practice on. Good find Keimos.:thumbleft

I know its 80% lol, but when i started a few weeks back I got 25% on the transcender version!!!

I guess as long as you read the right books, do the labs then they are all much of a muchness to an extent... prepare right and the real exam should be relatively straight forward

I don't know about their A+ and stuff, but I do love their books for MOS exams specially if your going for the Master. I would expect their exams would have that same quailty. thanks for the link.

Great find, this is a fabulous little thing, I was gonna buy Transcender but the price put me off.

A question though the first time i tried it worked perfectly for me but the next day every time i double-click the HW section i get 'Error-21472214499, invalid procedure call....' Ive reinstalled a couple of times but still no luck, can anyone help?
