CCNA and ADSL

    Why is it that the CCNA hasn't been updated to reflect this (not very) new technology. There's loads about Frame Relay and ATM but nothing about a tech that more and more business are turning to!

    You do realize that the bottom slice of layer 2 for ADSL is ATM? :biggrin

    Most of the certs seem to lag current technology.

    I had gathered as much. But I was disapointed to find that it covers more about Frame Relay than anything - isn't that a touch redundent now?!? :rolleyes:
    So it would seem. I guess it's logical - it takes time to set-up these exams and test them so the quality is retained. But all the same it's still damn anoying! What if I pass my CCNA and then I'm asked to set up a branch network with ADSL on a CISCO1760-ADSL or Cisco 7200? :knife

    Maybe .. but it is still around in some business's and I would imagine it's useful to know how it works.
