I manage to pass the icnd 1 today with a score of 815/1000 :) , the passing score was 804 so i scrapped it!

I believe if i had answered 1-2 more question incorrectly i would have failed.

    Thanks for all your support.

Congrats dude. Would you care to share what training materials you've used? I'm currently reviewing to take on the CCNA exam (or go with the two exam route) by July. I'm using cisco press books and CBTnuggets videos. For simulation, I use cisco's packet tracer and GNS3. Please give me pointers on what to really review on or expect on the exam. Thanks man and again, congrats. Wishing you well with your second exam, en route to being a CCNA.

Unfortunately, GNS3 isn't very useful without using Cisco's IOS with it... and using Cisco's IOS outside of Cisco's hardware is against the Cisco IOS licensing terms.

    The materials i used

1, Discovery1&2 online material from college.
2, CBT nuggets (which are very good IMO).
    3, Packet tracer.
    4, www.subnettingquestions.com
    5, www.ccentquestions.com

On the actual exam i found that i had to be sharp on the single/multiple choice answers as i needed to more time on the simulators.

There were about 4 different simulators.
Time management is important. (no more than 2 minutes per question & 10 minutes per simulator).
READ THE QUESTION TWICE with speed and efficiently. (but dont rush).

    Hope this has helped.

    Nice one.

I plan to take this in the next few weeks. What did you find the most tricky areas in the exam?

Well Done on your Pass. I actually found ICND1 harder than ICND2. As mentioned before, it's all about time. Don't spend too much time on each questions. Theres hardly any thinking time, you either know it or don't. On ICND1, I skip the first simulation since I had no clue solving it, still end up with 3 minutes to spare. There was one question on frame-relay which I knew nothing about (it's actually on materials for ICND2). Hope that helps.
