Career - Training roadmap

Do microsoft, cisco or citrix do any sort of roadmap of their courses as a kind of best study method (ie you learn more as you are building on knowledge as opposed to randomly picking certs) am almost at the end of my current revision and as soon as I can afford the exam ill be doing it (pesky money) and im looking for my future training options.

I will be at MCSA certified level and Im thinking one of the following routes:

Exchange/Messaging, to expand on my MCSE
Cisco certification - will be looking more into these certs after current test is passed
Citrix certification - as above, we use this at work, am comfortable with the client side, and also have installed applications and have a reasonable understanding of how it works, would like to know more though.

Other more specific specialised areas:

Such as VOIP, or 2 pieces of software we have here called Diskextender and eMail extender, SAN or even ITIL if i want to go down that route.

Id like to go back to consulting which i did for 3 years for one or 2 companies, without certification i might add (word of mouth sort of thing, but i think i will need certs to market and also some specialist

if youlog into the mcp site they have a career builder type thing that lists routes to higher certs. can't remember what it is called at the minute though.
