    Hi all,

    Can you start page numbering halfway in a Word doc?

    e.g first 5 pages blank, then page 6 is number 1?

    Thanks

    In 2007 you just do insert > page number > format numbering and change the radio button from 'continiue from previous section' to 'start from:'.

    I'm sure there is something similar in 2003.

    Yes you can and the other guys have got the right section for 2003 - but I've spent more than an hour before trying to get it work 100% - just to warn you though :)

    I've just been trying to find out for myself and apparently using word field codes is the way forward.

    Ctrl+F9 to open your code brackets {}
    then type your query respectively so it looks something like below:

    Code:
    {IF  { PAGE  } < 4 "" "{ =  { PAGE } - 5 }"}
    Once you've finished that, Alt+F9 to execute the code.

    It should in theory start page numbering on page 5 as page 1, and carry on respectively.. but it's not working for me!
    :eek:

    Let me know if it works for you, or if you get it working..
