Suddenly got a weird one here:

An unrecoverable problem has occurred, stopping the VMWare VirtualCentre service. Error[VdbODBCError] (-1) "ODBC error: 0 "is returned when executing SQL statement "INSERT INTO VPX_EVENT_ARG WITH (ROWLOCK) (EVENT_ID_ARG_ID_ARG_TYPE,ARG_DATA........VALUES(????????????)"

Any ideas? Our sys admin is out again! Cr%P

Sys admin was trying to add new esxi hosts earlier if that helps?

Service has started off it's own back...but this is the second time it's stopped in about 30 mins...

    Cheers,

    Lee

Ps, any ideas on what courses are best to go on for this sort of thing? I need to put in for one!!!

Create disk space by deleting unneeded files....but how do you know which ones?

Bl00dy transaction logs! Nothing to do with VCentre. Stoopid transaction logs not set up properly.

Will pass to the relevant people - phew!!!

Again, sorry to bother you all  :biggrin

could start with windows\temp maybe use treesize to find where the un-needed bulk may be.

Ah, see had a further look into things and the biggest issue was how whoever set up the SQL side of things. It's not very...tidy. Have passed it on to a team who deals with the set-up and monitoring of transaction logs, back-ups etc as once that's all sorted there will be oodles of space free!

    Cheers,

    Lee
