Cabinet files

    Do .cab files install aswell as extract? ...if this is true, how can one create such a file?

    edit: or would it just be easier to use a 3rd party util?

    .cab files are just compressed archives as far as I know.

    To install or run a component of a cab file you need to use the 'expand' tool.

    i thought it would be 'extract' for .cab files

    cab files can be installation files for windows mobile devices
