    Hi!

I've BT Home Hub at home ;)

I've one desktop with WinXp pro and a laptop with Vista.

I've tried to setup a network but...

    Vista doesn't see Xp machine...
Xp can see Vista but can't get in because it's asking for password...but I've not set any passwords on Vista.

can anyone explain how to setup that network ???

At the risk of sounding obvious... you need a user account on Vista so that the XP computer user can access the Vista computer.

I understand that. But you need a user account on Vista so that the XP computer user can access the Vista computer. That's a pretty basic concept...

and make sure you do use a password, as configuring XP doesn't like blank passwords

The guys are right...make sure you have a password set up...hmmm note to self: create a password on flatmates machine so one can sabotage it and switch it off when its not in use!!...so remember set a password on the Vista machine and you will be fine :biggrin
