I have a BT Voyager 2091 wireless router. I want to set up a small network between two computers.

One computer will be connect to the router. One laptop will be wireless. Is it possible for me to share information between the two machines.

If possible how would you do it?

Yes.

Share a folder. As long as the computers can see each other on the network and permissions are configured correctly, you can open the shared folder on the other computer.
