They do not make one. I asked this in the other thread mentioned above. I wished they had as well, but XP is past it's half-life. BUT, if we keep asking you never know...

I think XP is still going to be around for awhile as most companies can't afford to upgrade with the global economy in shambles. Vista is already getting replaced as adoption has been slow in the corporate arena.

    This is just an opinion.

I keep suggesting that we do the MCDST, but thus far, my words have fallen on deaf ears.

Storm is right - the more people that ask, the more weight my words have. For example, I could send my boss a link to this thread...

Well then I'll add my support. The more people that reply to this thread saying they want it, the more chances the bosses over there will consider a MCDST practice exam.

XP is going to be around for a long time. You can buy a PC with the downgrade option for XP from most major PC vendors.

Businesses can't afford more hardware and many institutions (hospitals, local governments, schools) have tons invested in hardware that can't run Vista well. They also have millions invested in applications that will not run on Vista.

I work in a decent sized hospital in the States and we have so many applications that are still not certified for XP SP3. There is no way we can go to Vista on the desktop.

I am going for the Desktop Lead position and MCDST is required. Bring it on Mr. Boson.

I agree. I would get the exam from Boson if they had one.
Windows XP is not gonna dissapear soon. I work in place where are around 750 workstations and the company is not ready to go for Vista (or Windows 7 in near future). A few weeks ago they received a 10 new workstations from HP and there were all with Windows XP.
