One of my modules is interface programming, and its using c++. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on great books, ive already bought a C++ for absolute beginners but knowing me ill probabaly need more.

Any reccomoendations from people in here for starting off, if the books have illustrations then that would be better as the information sinks in better than reading just plain text.

    Thanks

Sams teach yourself c++ in 21 days 5th edition
Accelerated C++ pratical programming by example

these two books will give you a great start in learning C++ basics, be aware that the Sams book has a new edition out called

Sams Teach yourself C++ in one hour a day 6th edition

I don't have this one so can't comment but it looks decent.
