Just a quick plug for this site.

They're called Omnibooks and they used to have a shop near to me but are now just retailing online. They deal in new books (not secondhand) that are end of print runs, remaindered etc. and so there are some opportunities for some real bargains.

Stock varies so you do have to keep an eye on the site but I can thoroughly recommend them (as can be seen by my bookshelves !)

Indeed, they are good (dependent on stock).

Maybe Trip could have a look at the current stock and comment on any "goody buys" ??

Good site that. There's a couple of books I'm interested in purchasing that are about £5 cheaper than what I'd pay if I ordered them from Amazon.

I'd have to buy them to review them. The books are all at least 3 years old (which is probably why they're bargains) and publishers only send me brand new books. If you want to see if I reviewed them back when they were new, you can take a look at a list of all the books I've ever reviewed (or most of them, anyway) to see if I've ever taken a look at the books on that site.

Yes, sorry I should have been clearer. When I said they were "new" I meant new as opposed to secondhand books. They are not necessarily new titles unless they've been bought up as bankrupt stock etc.

Worth going thru' Trip's review list though to see if there's any good ones available !

Thanks for the site. I love to collect new IT books, the problem is getting to read them all! Especially before the info goes out of date

I normally go to a site called compman or even amazon if using the net and then waterstones if in person. Will keep my eye on this site in future to see if i can pick up any bargains when looking for something interesting.
