    Hi there,

My names Matt and I'm currently studying for a Java certification via a distance learning course.

I'm also enjoying looking at C# using the ‘Head first C#’ book and was just wondering what would be the first step to gaining a recognised certification in C#?

I don’t work in a development environment nor do they offer any training, however the company is a Microsoft gold partner.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi & welcome to CF :)

How about contacting your local college/Uni about if they do a evening or distance learning City & Guilds/Btec course then taking it from there?

Microsoft offers several certifications for C# programmers, but they are not for beginners. You should be fairly fluent in programming C# before attempting to get certified in it.
