Well following on from this post, I've just finished the 71-411 exam and I have to say that I don't know if I'll pass it or not.

The exam questions were straight forward, some were alot harder than I was expecting, others not so. Can't go into to much detail, due to the NDA plus it being a beta.

Oh well, the long wait for about 8 weeks/2 months begins :)

I can't handle doing the questionnaire after an exam, let alone waiting 8 weeks! I'm sure it'll be the right result for you anyhow. :biggrin

What was it like compared to the 2003 exams mate? As in difficulty level.

It was different... With the 2003 exams, half the difficulty was figuring out what Microsoft was trying to ask, plus I don't think I've ever sat a 2003 beta exam :)

However as for comparing 2008 beta exams with 2012 beta exams, i can say that the 2012 exam was harder for me due to the following reasons:

    1. I had more time playing around with 2008 than with 2012.
    2. I had more study resources (eg more whitepapers, technet, etc) and time to read with 2008. With 2012, while I've been playing around with it for a while. I've only read started to read the books, watch the vids and read Technet within the last week.

Don't get me wrong, there were a good few questions that are easily answered if you work day in day out with 2008/2008 r2. But with the questions that I got (remember it's a beta and the questions can change or be pulled), on a good few I had to make educated guesses :unsure

Nice, well, I hope you pass Ken... btw, how do you get to participate in the beta exams? I've always been interested, but don't know how to add myself to the beta exam testers?

Good luck. Looks like I'm starting out with all this soon. Though will probably wait till it's released with the instant-result exams!

With your experience and skills, I'm sure you smashed it. (In fact MS'll probably look at your result, figure they've made it too easy and revise up the difficulty for the rest of us, darn you!)
