Became MCSA:Messaging (2k3) today

    I've been a bit out of sync with my MS exams the last few years, its not my primary career focus anymore and so it kind of got put on the back burner
    I was determined to atleast get the MCSA before the exams were retired, I started this slog back in 2004 with 70-284 Exchange 2k3 exam
    This year I cracked out 290, 291, 236 and today 620 to become an MCSA:Messaging

    I had hoped to tackle the whole MCSE, but i read somewhere they retire the exams december 31st and theres no chance i will get the remaining exams done by then, besides, no more MCSE next year anyway :)

    Well beers round chappies, On to 2k8 now I think

    Edit: apparantly they are dropping the 2k exams in March 08 so perhaps i still have plenty of time to get the last 3 done (two are in the bag anyway)

    Surprisingly (considering the nature of these forums) I don't always announce it, especially individual MCPs,
    I did mention my experience with the Exchange 2k7 beta exam though I'm sure :)

    i'm a bit confused about the above comment though, do you mean that microsoft are going to stop the MCSE or are you going to stop studying?

    There will be no more MCSE certification after the MCSE on Windows Server 2003
    the whole cert structure has changed at MS into a three tier model

    MCTS (Technology Specialist)
    MCITP (IT Professional)
    MCA (Architect)

    the closest thing to an MCSE today would probably be MCITP: Enterprise Administrator
