And my 7 month old male smokey is driving me absoulutely mad! She been in heat for over a week now. He would just sniff her and go on. Then we took her saturday and had her breed to smokeys daddy. We came back home and all hell broke loose. Smokey just freaked out! Running around whining, wanting to get at her but not sure what exactly to do with her. He been huanching everthing since. The poor fellow even tried to hunch the kitten on the porch! He goes to get a drink of water he starts haunching, he tries to get up on the chair way with you half way up his back end just starts goes crazy, he turns his head to look and see what the hell his arse is doing! Well, that was funny. :biggrin The poor little fellow is driving himself mad and taking me with him. And if joseph doesn't fix his kennel outside when he gets home I'm dragging him with us! :dry

Aw, now, Mitz, you know it's meant in my own sort of good-natured, but slightly rough sense of humor. It was just set up so well, I couldn't resist. :)

Did you not see that news article the other day about two seemingly incompatible breeds mating? one stupidly small male and a very large (in comparison) female. Even produced pups from it.

Size does not matter. I was only joking. Last week I had to lecture in Belgium and I took my wife with me. The dogs were 'parked' with my breeder. She has 14 bitsches in total (12 wolfhound and 2 rottweilers). She used to have a maltezer bitch to but that one died with 13. My male maltezer was the only male in the pack and he had the time of his life (the breeder had 4 dogs in heat to). After an hour or so she could not let my male (15) suffer anymore (he was close to exhaustion) and she gave him a room of his own.

I don't know who started that rumor but they LIED! :biggrin Sorry couldn't help myself.

The poor little guy, smokey has a rough time with just 1. I don't even want to think what it would be like around here with 3 more. And now the neighbors bassethound mut is hanging around in the yard. I have already threw one bucket of cold water on him to run him off. Looks like I'm going to have to do it again or smokey may hurt him. Joe did fix smokey kennel outside this morning before he left but he has actually pulled some of the metal caging up from the bar it is attach to enough to fit his head out of it. I had to bring him back in before he destroyed it. I have a feeling that I'm gonna have to weld the bottom of that cage if I want it to hold him.

Well, for dogs it does not. Not sure about the rest...:biggrin

That's 4 from the breeder and two from me. That's six in total. One of the rottweilers made it very easy for him. She would just lay done on her back and "asume the position" so to speak. He was trying very hard but as far as we know nothing happened.
Wow, you're a welder too? A real Jack of all trades.:biggrin

well, belive it or not, before I knew I was a geek I use to make circuit boards and at times I would have to sodder these. I'm thinking not much different except I get to use a blow-torch. A little bit of pratice and I'm sure I could throw a pretty good beed. :biggrin But actually it would be joe doing the welding since he is the one with the real exp in the family.
