Just to update you all -

I think there has been ONE day in the last 2 weeks that there hasn't been an update released for AVG. It's frightening how often the defences have to be shored up against the attack....

Keep them up to date, Folks .....

 

Thanks for the reminder Gav. Updating your signature files is one of those regular things that can be forgotten.

Scary to think one slip up and you will pay for it!

Has anybody noticed problems updating avg 6 recently ?

 

Phil, I've had many problems updating lately, last 2 weeks or so. Always tells me no connection could be found.

Possibly an overloaded server??

 

Probably, it seems odd that every time I try it messes up. Perhaps I only try at busy times

 

Never noticed any probs with their updates, Guys.

I particularly like it since they introduced the micro.avi system. You get one reasonably big (for dial-up) every couple of months or so, then multiple, tiny (a few K) downloads every day or so. For me, that means I just schedule auto-updates daily, and the only way you know it's done is when AVG rells you it has finished the update installation.
