Auto Power Off

    This ones similar to prestd's problem, but i didnt want to hijack his thread. got a pc running 2000 pro, now apparently it used to automatically power off when you shut the machine down - now it just goes to the 'now safe to turn off the pc' screen.

    now in the power options of control panel theres an option to enable APM support, and if i remember correctly, this is what causes the machine to switch itself off, but id like some confirmation of this before i screw up my machine.
