Apple certification site back online

Well the certification and training website is now online. Training information is now available for Lion and Final Cut Pro X. The following exams will be available this Fall:

Apple Certified Associate: Mac Integration 10.7
Apple Certified Support Professional 10.7
Apple Certified Technical Coordinator 10.7

Basically the exams follow the same version numbers as the operating system. Lion is 10.7 and Snow Leopard is 10.6. 10.6 will still be available to take until January 2012. Note that Apple Certified Associate, the take from home mini cert, is still in use and you can take the 10.6 version now. The free 10.7 PDF guide is available now.

Big change for testing centers. Currently it looks like Prometric will not be giving any newly released exams on behalf of Apple. There is a list of exams you can take at Prometric. The list looks like it's all the current, active exams. I wonder if Prometric can't deliver the testing stations, ie performance, Apple wants to use or Apple wants to make people more aware of the Apple Testing Centers.
