Has anyone gone and created an app?

Doesnt have to be a world beating , all singing one etc, just wondering what you used and how you went about it etc.

If you started from scratch what made you start the app dev ?

I haven't mate. I don't have the skill but many times I've considered buying an app on the likes of flippa. Still might.

Been writing computer programs / applications for 27 years now. Never really written an 'app', currently working on an application for an ipad but its html based so not really an 'app'.

I know C# so could do something like Xamarin, I also know Java and RxJava so could probably learn Android SDK, I know some Javascript and React so could probably do React Native.

Not really got a pressing need to write an app in my personal time right now, and its not really what i am most interested in.

So, I havent created anything as such, however, a nice free udemy course is explaining things really well and I am not as daunted as I was.
I have even started using adobe software to annotate the slides just to make things stick, its really interesting how simple it can be when explained properly

I don't have that actual link for the course I am on, I got it about a month or so ago

Here is the link https://www.udemy.com/ sign up and type in free in the search bar at the top and you will get some options, then add to basket. You shouldn't need your card details, I have never entered mine yet.
