Anyone heard of JBC Training in Coventry?

i think you have to take this with a HUGE pinch of salt! NO cert or course or training will guarantee you a job! i suggest do some research using google and see for yourself what job sites are offering job wise and salary wise..

 

Hi, I finished the 7 week course with JBC a couple of weeks ago and have just managed to get myself a helpdesk job. This was done by hours and hours of job searchs and appying for postitions myself and not by JBC.

They do seem to give you the impression that they will find you a job for you after you have finished, but thats not really the case. They do help you out a bit, but ulimately it comes down to you to find one. They also give you job search lectures in which they tell you how to improve your CV, conduct yourselves at interviews etc.

I enjoyed my time on course and think that i've learnt a lot, but because it was an intensive course with a lot of topics to cover, you don't end up spending enough time on each topic. Well thats how I felt about it anyway.

Thanks for that bit of advice. Its probably something you dont get out of the 'sales' pitch. I have just ordered the Mike Meyers books on A+ to give me a head start, and I might do the exam before I take the test

 

With JBC do you get a nationally recognised IT qualification or one of their own 'made up' certs at the end of the course?
