oh man this game is so great , especially voices of the main character GERALT ..
unbelievable game and a-must game to play for people WHO ENJOY PLAYING RPG TYPE

try this , give it a chance if you like playing "Oblivion" kind of games.....

I just read a review although it sounds like a good game, apparently there are long loading times when leaving a building, I don't like it when that happens so I might not get it.

I just downloaded the demo, I don't like it I'm afraid.

Its not a patch on Oblivion or Never Winter Nights.

 

i have overclocked my graphics card

its default core clock speed : 300 MHz
memory clock speed : 700 MHz

i changed these to 335 and memory to 745 MHz and now the game is much faster than before.

also i examined CPU multiplier and its clock speed then memory speed from BIOS

current CPU multiplier seems 18 x but i have a program called everest it shows this 17 x ... ?
you can modify it 24 x as maximum

CPU minimum clock speed(FSB) is 100 in BIOS , max is 132 and ticked is 100 now

I COULDN'T FIND FOR THE MEMORY ?

I like the game, liked the book it's based on but it could be done slightly better.

 

eventually i found a man who likes this game other than me

 

here is why i enjoyed this game

1- i can easily say that game is the number first for me (among games i have ever played count
crysis and CoD4)
2- environment (how an lively environment is there , all characters are living
and dealing with their jobs)

3- hair of witcher and swinging (his hair is "whitey" ) how realistic it is.
4- swords belong to witcher and their sound ....
5- characters are charismatic not only witcher but also vesemir and others
6- drinking alcohol and getting drunk but there is an important fact here
your drunkenness changes to strength of alcohol
also you can use drug then suicide ......
7- music of the game , how impressive

negatives of the game

1- loading times (don't misunderstand! loading times are not long , the problem is
that almost everywhere you in and out game has loads)

2- program errors
but you can cope with by installing vcredist then erasing " disable autosave = 1" line
in player.ini

thats all!

Im trying to play this game but the loading times are a pain. I have a good spec pc (e6300 @ 3.2, 2gb RAM, x1900xt @ xtx speeds) but the in and out of buildings gets very annoying. The new patch coming out (v1.2) is supposed to help speed up loading and saving so im waiting for that.

 

like? I got it on the day of the release ;)
but I must say It's because I really loved the book(s)
