Is Crysis the game or is it what happens when you switch on your computer :)

Dont think there was any need for that comment GBL, try and keep things polite eh?

Crysis is an AWESOME game, that said the system requirements are pretty steep, I can get a bit of lag on my Quad core with 4GB of ram and 768mb of GFX memory

make sure your settles are quite low in order to experience the game lag free
cant wait for it to be released! :)

I've just played the demo. Looks good.

Some of you might be interested to know that my machine is below required spec, yet ran it well enough to give a good impression. It was worth the 1800MB dowload!

I also noticed that I had 171,000K of free ram while the game was running.

But none of this may apply to the final release so please don't buy the game based on this post if you think your machine can't handle it.

    My spec:

    AMD Sempron 2800+
    1 gig ram
geforce 6100 integrated graphics (sharing 250MB system ram)
    Windows XP

    Recommended spec

    Windows XP:

    · CPU: Intel P4 2.8 GHz / AMD Athlon 2800+ / Intel Core 2.0 GHz
    or higher

    · RAM: 1.0 GB

    · Hard Drive: 6 GB or more of free space

    · Video: NVIDIA 6800 GT 256 MB / ATI 9800 Pro or better

    · Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

    Windows Vista:

    · CPU: Intel P4 3.2 GHz / AMD Athlon 3200+ / Intel Core 2.2 GHz
    or higher

    · RAM: 1.5 GB

    · Hard Drive: 6 GB or more of free space

    · Video: NVIDIA 6800 GT 256 MB / ATI X800 Pro 256 MB or better

    · Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

i've played both the SP and MP demo's and really like it, just a shame the SP demo is as short as it is.

It ran ok on my pc with it all set to medium with no AA on

However to get it on ultra high detail (which they havent enabled yet) the current technology isnt up to the job... cant wait to see what can do it :)

I'm more impressed each time I play, & will have to consider a graphics card. My machine could run it on high graphics settings without crashing but low was best, but not great! I was surprised that It ran at all.
I understand the ultra high setting will only be enabled in Vista, but it's possible to enable them in XP, if you know what to do that is!

Looks like a cool game. Some of the screenshots remind of the Far cry.
