I've been looking for vouchers for the N+ today (After missing out on one yesterday that would let me take the N+ for about 85 quid) when I came across this.

    Here

Has anyone come across this before? You pay these chaps $49.99, and all of a sudden, you are CST qualified.

It is something that one of our members here has had a lot of involvement with. Take a look at TCat's profile, and his post history for more info.

I don't believe that they have that much of a presence over here in the UK though.

Interesting find Lud. Are you going to go for it? For $49 you get CST and a load of test prep's in PDF.
I am going to book mine literally last minute as sometimes you can get a voucher at a very good price that has to be used within a week- my test centre only want 48 hours notice....

Looking at it, it is a serious consideration at this point.

Looking at it, i know you can't take the actual exams in the UK yet, but, for a rather small ammount of money, you can get another certification, from another governing board, and . . .(most importantly for me, who likes things up on walls that look good) you get a nice certificate and lapel badge.

All in all, it looks like a bargain. If only for something else to chuck on the CV.

    Hey Boyce,

Will it only be getcertified in your quest for the N+ Vouchers? Thatr is where I let the voucher slip through my grasp, yesterday.

    Hi,

Yeah, getcertified4less.com seems to be the only one offering N+ Internationals as far as i can see. Is there any others you can recommend? Comptia prices aren't that much cheaper than the test centre.....

Quite agree with you Boyce. Getcertified seems to be the only real choice for cheap comptia vouchers.

The only thing I did stumble across that I may have to think about soonish if no N+ vouchers come up is this . . . Here

I know it isn's as good as some of the vouchers that come up on getcertified, but with sods law, knowing my luck the vouchers won't come up when I need them.

After looking at the site of the organization behind CST it would appear that this is a discount offer of combined rollover and 1 year membership. There is a section there on the rollover, including the offer of rollover of N+ to their network equivalent.

I'm not quite sure what the relevence of 'rollover' actually is. What exactly does that mean?

If I had to guess (which I don't, but I will anyway :D ) I'd have thought the term suggested that you lose the A+ and become purely CST. Although, I know this isn't the case, because of the speel on the website.

As far as I can tell it means you get their cert without having to sit the exams.

Ahh, sorry Harry, I think i missed your point in my previous post. Ignore the last post as it is jibberish nonsence. :)

Yep, I believe you do have to pay a yearly thing to keep saying you are CST, and I think I saw somewhere that after 4 years, you have to update, or something like that.

The deal does seem like a good thing though, and I will almost certainly be giving it a shot.

    Ahh, should have said . . . .

I was worried it was only an american offer, but it was international. I e-mailed them just to make sure . . . and the whole kit and kaboodle cost about 28.66. (Thats pounds, sorry I seem to have lost my Pound key. :blink )

Will update on delivery/ etc etc, if anyone is interested.

Thanks - that was one point that I was wondering about! Particularly as the web-site for CST gave different prices for USA and everywhere else!

    Hey Chaps,

My spiffing laminated CST Certificate dropped through the door this morning.

I was quite impressed really, as it was a lovely little certificate.
