I'll settle just to get to the end of 2016 for now. Plenty of work just landed on my desk that needs done before the end of the year - think I will need a bigger desk. :blink

Outside of work, I'm planning to doing the last 200km of the Camino de Santiago next September/October. My Dad is doing the whole thing, I'm just joining for the last 10 days or so.

Work wise... well.. staying in work would be a bonus, my current contract is up 23rd Dec, although some time off in January would be nice. I'd like to learn more about MS Azure and Office365 and migrations to both from on-premises Hyper-V/vSphere and Exchange as I can see that being a good earner :)

Not sure, usually I like to have an idea of what I'll be doing but I don't know. Maybe a new job, a family holiday. I wouldn't mind taking something big like a CISSP but right now I don't think I'd be eligible

You would easily meet the eligibility requirements for it (I assume), I know help desk guys who get it, also there is the CISSP associate which just means you have passed the exam but do not have the required experience yet.

I would still recommend the CISSP but due to all the jobs advertising for it everyone who now wants a job in security is getting it so losing a bit of value.

Have you looked at SABSA could be a good fit for you?

Cheers mate I've not had a look, and perhaps I've built the CISSP up to be out of reach for most. I thought another CISSP had to vouch for your security knowledge but I've not looked into it for years

**Edit, thanks @Rob1234, SABSA looks right up my street. I'd heard of it but now going to look more into it. Thanks

I always see these posts and a part of me gets inspired. I've been on this site since 2009 FYI.

However, nothing rarely comes to fruition, for me at least. I set out goals and they fail miserably, either through laziness or boredom. Maybe I need to focus on that first haha :)

I'm so tied up in projects at work i haven't even thought about it lol.

I have a domain migration and Win 10 roll out starting in Q2 next year, that'll likely take me up toward August / September time.

No plans on certs during the next year, but maybe some reading up on advanced Win 10 management.

Personally - i'm planning on getting over to Vegas at some point to win my retirement funds, and i'll keep on skydiving :)

Looking to hopefully move into my new flat. Mortgage application has been sent and is pending approval.

This will cut down my commute from 2 hours to 35 mins each way, so should give me more time to study :)
