Any idea why the fireworks books are so expensive?

I looked at one book and it was 75 dollars for a 66 page book! From what little I've read about fireworks it is soupose to be an even stronger application then Photoshop. If this is so I just can't belived they can cover that in 66 pages!

Not sure which ones you're looking at. Of the links I've posted below, the first seems a tad pricey, but it is 640 pages long and includes Dreamweaver, Flash, and Fireworks info. The second is a few years old, but it's over 300 pages and seems reasonably priced...especially in the "New and Used" area. The third is actually a DVD video tutorial...7 1/2 hours of instruction and it does seem pretty expensive...but then that's probably the norm for a video over a book.

Yeah see, I don't want a cd to study from. I need paper with a pretty cover and the new smell of ink or dust as I turn the pages. And ok I'm being picky here but I do not want a book that covers several different softwares at one time. Done this and they just don't provide enough information. It leaves you having to buy more books down the road to pick up where you left off. I rather put that 60 some dollars into 2 or 3 books and have detailed information. I am spoiled and it is all Marys fault!

I've found some stuff on the adobe site. Will just have to wait and see and do some more research.
