    Hi Everyone,

Due to health problems, I have to look for a new career, working from home and with flexible hours. Having some knowledge of, and a lot of admiration for IT, I did some introductory courses through Learndirect and have decided to have a go at programming/software development to MS accreditation standard.

Like a lot of newbies, I have user experience and a little bit of database management and language awareness. I need to know what, where, when, how etc. with regards to training, and have started reading up on Computeach and NITLC.

Are these the only providers of Microsoft/Cisco accreditations? I haven't been able to find any others that seemed reputable.

Sorry for the epic intro - short and snappy was never my style.

    Cheers for now

    Michael :unsure

Hi Michael, and thanks for joining out place.

As for opinions on training providers, out Training & Development Forum is the place for you to start off...both companies are reputable, although some Members have experienced "issues" with their providers in the past.

Hope you manage to stick around - your more than welcome :)

Hello and thanks for you welcomes. Just two quick ones:-

    1) What is "lol"?
    2) Has anyone noticed that, on the smiley list, comprehensive as it is, the original "smiley" is missing? This is an outrage. Heads must roll. etc etc. Or is it that I'm just too old for this game? :(

Have a quick look HERE for an answer to your first question,

Second, what, in the great scheme of things, is the original smiley - one of life's great imponderables, to remain forever unanswered...sorry m8, must have lost it in the last clean-up :biggrin

He was a minute behind Gav in hitting the "submit" button. Either that, or admins have the little known ability to switch the order of posts so they can always give the correct answer first. ;)

BTW (by the way), the "wink" emoticon seems to be missing too, as does the "tongue". ;) :P
