UCM, (and CF as a whole) - I would like to apologise for the side-issues that arose as a result of what I carefully chose to post to a now ex-Member. It had effects larger (and at times, worse) than I had hoped for, but for the most part seems to have maybe moved things on a little.

However, I am embarrassed with myself in that I then let fly at a long standing and actively posting Member, in UCM.

Yeah, sure I may have taken a line or two of a post of yours a little raw, mate - but you were as entitled to express your opinions as much as me. No one has the right to express his opinion without fear of reproach, and it may be seen that that is how I tried to act in my post to you.

Some may see this post to you now as a cheap exercise in making myself feel better, but think about it - I could have done this by PM, and if you chose to smack me down (again, within your rights), then that would never have been seen publicly. So here I post now.

Also, I wanted CF to see this in the hope that we can all realise that this place is so much bigger than falling out and bitching amongst ourselves over some new-comer wankers that don't know shite about what this place is for, nor our values that have made it such.

UCM - I'm sorry for coming on strong on you IN PUBLIC, mate - I apologise. Also - don't feel obliged to reply.

Hey guys, gav told ucm not to feel obligated to reply. I don't think you guys should pressure him for one. What good is a force reply from someone? It wouldn't be worth the post it typed in. I think we need to let these 2 work it out.

It takes a lot of courage to apologise in public and a mature person to step back from a heated discussion and then to look at it from the other persons point of view. You have my respect and admiration for that!!



I was somewhat surprised to see this thread, because I had originally intended to apologise to you yesterday. Instead I thought I would sleep on it and post my message to you in the morning.

Here is the original message I was going to send through PM but decide to post it here:-

I wish to apologize for my actions and insinuations on the thread open post to GOD.

I realise now that I had misread your original post and jumped to the wrong conclusion, accusing you of doing something you did not!

I was unaware at the time of the offence that was made by the ex-member for which they had caused. I can see now that your actions on the thread were honourable in that you were just protecting the community here on CF.
I was therfore completely in the wrong to attack you rather than support you on that thread and for that you have my deepest apology.

I thought that if people visiting and using the forum saw negative criticism about a person/member they would think of CF in a bad way and the positive, fun, helpful , community reputation it has built up would be lost forever!

Of course, I realise now that I just think too much, and take things too seriously.
I know I have stepped over the line with you GAV and lost your respect and support and therefore accept your decision to ignore me.
