Been getting a bit sentimental about my first year at CF and I realised I never posted a hello here so here it is. Sorry for it's lateness .

Hi everyone,

My name is Darren,

I've always had an interest in IT. I went to uni and studied Computer Engineering but it didn't last long (how is knowing about Charles Babbage going to help in a modern career in IT? Interesting, yes, helpful, no).

Anyway, I bummed about for a bit and then went travelling for a few years. I've come back to the UK with nothing to do so I'm thinking about an IT certification. I'm thinking about signing up to do a MCSE with a CCNA, A+ and Network+ and have come here to ask your advice.

Fast Forward a year...

I am now on that course. I passed my A+ a few weeks back, and will hopefully be ready to take the N+ within a month (not without the help of the wise and cool folks here). I managed to settle back into a life in the UK (IE. having every penny you earn taken off you by the taxman) and got my first IT job before I'd even passed my A+ (which amazed me after hearing how difficult it would be). Oh, and I've got my first baby on the way and I've got engaged. A pretty busy year really.

So, thanks a million to anyone who's ever helped me out and here's to another year (and maybe a few more) hanging around this crazy place!
