Yeah, I was quite shocked when I heard. I knew he was in hospital but didn't realise it was as serious as it obviously was. Apparently he raised about 100million for charity over the years.

Cue crap jokes about his hand I guess ...

I was gonna post this last nite but with all the PC issues I was having I totally forgot.

Its an absolute shame...first Heath Ledger and now Jeremy Beadle...bring back the good old days of 80s/90s classic TV when he did Beadle's About...but 59? Blimey, that is young.

I always wondered what was the deal with that?

Beadles about was cool, I wonder how many times they actually had to re do the joke because some bloke hit him.

Yeah Beadle was ace! A real shame that he has passed away.

Incidently I heard on the radio this morning that the Sun had the headline 'Beadle's not about'.

Great journalism from the Sun once again :dry

I met Beadle a few years ago at a friends party.
A great loss for his family & British TV.
Also a great man who did many things for charities.

It surprised me as well to hear of his death, I didnt realise how much of a charity man he was for that alone its a great loss, not to mention the countless hours of entertainment he provided to me in my childhood.
