Anyone have any issues with Windows 8 or 2012 patches recently ?

Seems a recent patch decided to thrash my SSD for 7+ hours.

Eventually gave up and booted into safe mode.

Seems maybe a patch from within last month altered TiWorker, and then patch kb2928678 would always fail ?

Apparently I can check for corruption caused by windows update with SFC and DISM, gonna give it a go.

Ran both and they say my system is ok.

I cant even get xperf on the box.

Still have disk thrashing, especially if i run an installer.

Many people reported this last year, seems it was never fixed ?

    Nobody got any ideas ?

Wondering if my SSD is on way out, but it reports good health.

Yo bro start up in safe mode, assuming you can get that far. Services.msc and disable your AV services. I've not seen it for a long time but your AV might be corrupt. If it is just reinstall it mate.

Turns out it was my SSD, apologies to MS ! SSD now going to local recycling centre...

I had thousands of Interface CRC failures in SMART, got data off drive, attempted reformat, reformat failed.
