ad hoc

    Could anyone explain to me what an AD HOC engineer does , ive got an idea its something to do with networking , or am i peeing on nthe wring lampost here .

    I would imagine it would go along with the definition of Ad Hoc and would indicate an engineer assigned to a specific type of job and then would move on when it was done. Just guessing here.

    I'd agree with trip.

    Sounds like someone who does a job as and when its required, and then moves on.

    Never even knew one exsisted so googled for it and yea its an engineer who does a job for a set period of time.
    Its more the time that is associated with ad hoc and not the actual job or position.
