Does anybody on here work for Accenture / been interviewd for a job with Accenture??

I applied for a Technical Support Analyst - Oracle DBA role (I have v basic knowledge of Oracle / SQL but databases is the area of IT that interests me the most - I currently work on a database team, but it is a mainframe (Fujitsu) database and is completely different from Oracle, etc) and have received an email that I have been invited for a 1st Stage interview.

Was just wondering if anyone can tell me what I can expect, etc? Also, any general interview tips would help immensly.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks

I am absolutely sure a few years ago there was a website with their typical interview questions knocking around somewhere on the web.

I remember from Uni that the interview for graduates (I think it was generic graduates, rather than technical specialists) that the interview is very demanding.

Yeah I did a quick Google search, found a site, possibly the one you are talking about, but it was quite vague, and mainly geared towards the USA, so how that would differ to the UK i'm not sure.

    Cheers tho

I had a phone interview with them in December. Basically running through my CV and me telling them about the work i had done. There was then some technical questions. Maybe no help mind you if it's a face to face interview!

Didn't get asked back though so maybe there was something else i missed haha.

My cousin also works for them and has just been transferred to their Sydney office!

Bit of a generalist statement there, wouldn't have said a rebrand over 10 years ago was down to a bad rep myself.

Big company, have known people there at pretty much all levels of work from the bottom to the top.

They like their pound of flesh, you'll be worked hard if a consultant type, but they usually pay pretty well.

Are you going in as a consultant or is it a specific role on one of their accounts?

Juts in case anyone is wondering - the telephone interview went ok - mainly the usual 'competency-based' questions, such "describe a time when you gave good customer service" etc, thena few technical Oracle / SQL questions - think I did ok.

The next stage is apparently an interview, if I get that far.

Now to pay the waiting game...
