A+: Which did you find harder, the 601 or 602/603/604?

I have my A+ 602 tomorrow having passed the 601 on Monday of this week. Those pants are slowly starting to fill up again!!!

Anyway, a lot of folk on this forum seem to state they found the 602 (not come across any 603 or 604'ers yet) a lot easier than the 601. Just wondering how many folk this was and any comments you may have (legally!) between the two exams.

p.s: I think I need somebody to supply me with a spare pare of pants again!!!

Definetely the 601, lots of ambiguous questions.

 

You'll be fine DL.

Just make sure you don't rush, watch for the questions with the negatives ("Which of these is not...?"), and make time to reread your answers.

Like GBL, I seem to remember 601 was worst...

 

It's weird, looking back on the 601 I think I found the experience relatively easier (not to sound like blowing my own trumpet there, that's not how I want it to come across because it was still bloody hard work!) than I imagined it would be.

If anything I am dreading the 602 more than the 601 when previously it was the other way around... I think it's because there is so much riding on it. I've got this far and to fail at the last hurdle would be a travesty of epic proportions.

 

After having now done both exams, I can safely say that the 602 was bloody hard compared to the 601!

 

Strange, my 601 had lots of questions which had questions were it could have been all four it was just deciding which one compTIA deemed correct.

The 602 was straight forward with hardware and software issues to solve.

 

I found the software exam harder than the hardware, but that was only because I spent more time revising old OS such as Win95, WIN NT and win 98. The majority of the exam was on winxp and win 2000
Luckly I use win xp pro at work. So could answer most of the questions.
