    Good Luck :D

But as we have already told you the A+ core hardware exam no longer exists, what is the exam number? (220-302).

its a real exam. there is no code number or anything. the training provider who i am with must do this and the 220-602 exam in order to be a+ certified.

Then this is an exam from the training provider, not CompTIA.

Hence our confusion about three exams.

CompTIA do not ask for 3 exams to be passed!

Well you dont in the real world you only need to do 2 exams to be A+ certified. You need to pass Essentials which is 220-601 and you pick one of these 220-602,220-603 or 220-604. And when you have passed two thats it.

This is why a lot of us don't like training providers as its un-necessary for you to be doing the exam tomorrow, did they charge you for it?

Mmmm... I'd be concerned if I were you. Regardless of what your training provider has told you, you absolutely need the 220-601 (A+ Essentials) and an elective exam (220-602 is valid) in order to be A+ certified... no ifs, ands, or buts about it: link

The A+ Core Hardware exam (220-301) no longer exists as far as CompTIA is concerned: link

Now, you can believe your training provider (who cannot grant certifications), or you can believe CompTIA (who grants the A+ certification). Choose wisely. :)

Ali did not pass either exam.

He had gotten confused, the exam he passed month ago which he thought was essentials (220-601) was only a practice. The two he took yesterday were the 601 and 602, he has finally realised the he need needs the Mike Meyers AIO guide and not some revision material.

I know all this as he and I have been in conversation for months (by PM), he is now busy studying I hope.

I haven't heard anything bad about them, but I know that the Mike Meyers All in one really is very useful, and well worth the money.

Yeah I have been trying to help him for months, but he wouldn't have it that the Mike Meyers book was the best as it was very in-depth and covered all that was needed.

I have heard it's ok but is very dry and not as humorous or as good as Mike Meyers AIO

EDIT: Tripwire45s books is excellent all though he wouldn't promote himself as he is too honest, his book is PC Technician street smarts by James Pyles it has exercises in it that you can practice which is good.

I wouldn't promote it, if it wasn't spot on material.

And when Trip does his next version even though I have done the A+, I will buy it.
