    Hi all,

After recently finding out that comptia are changing the certifications (mentioned in subject) to expire every three years, I started now by studying on A+ first before moving onto N+.

I was wondering how long or whether A+ takes more time to study than N+.

Can anyone please give an insight to this.

    Thanks.

I am planning to sit my a+ exams in august, then moving on to N+.

Your question can't really be answered properly because of a few reasons.

if you know about hardware and basic operating systems usage then the A+ will not take you long.
If you know how to subnet and the differences between a router, a switch and a bridge then the N+ probably wont take you long

But if you dont know any of these then both might take you a long time.

You have until December 31st to pass both to be certified for life.

You have until August 31st to pass the 600 series of the A+ if you are doing the 700 series then as I said above you have until December 31st to be A+ certified for life.

check the comptia website but if I remember correctly its december 31st this year. Dont take too seriousley though because once most people move from compTIA exams to MS exams they forget about the compTIA exams.
