    Hi all,

I am hoping to self study and achieve my A+ cert and have just ordered a copy of the mike meyers book to get me started (thanks to this forum). I was just wondering if there are (which i am sure they are) any more resources you guys could reccomend to help me gain this cert.

After reading other threads and posts i hear a lot of people mention getting an old PC to strip apart and rebuild, and i am wanting know if this is to help gain a better understanding of the course material or if this is part of the exam.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

it will help learn about the inside of a pc and be able to take to bits and put back together. I would recommend getting the book PC Technician street smarts so you can practice the exercises in it.

An objective oriented A+ study guide from StudyNotes.net.

Professor Messer's Free CompTIA A+ Certification Training Course
A new series of free video tutorials by James "Professor" Messer.
Not complete as yet, but very impressive so far. Also objective oriented.

    Good Luck,
