    Hey guys/gals,

Just an update on the last of my beta exams: the 71-649 (MCSE upgrade).

Well I knew that I failed, but I was only waiting for the score, which is: 490

The good news is that I scored about average. MCSE's (2003) will score around 500 -ish without any real knowledge/experience with Windows 2008.

Oh well, i've got a couple of exam vouchers that I can use up to March/April time, lets see if I'll be ready then :)

Thanks for keeping us posted, Ken. If you scored that much without *really* using it, then I am sure you will cruise it next time!

Keeping with in the T&C's of the NDA, I can say that:

    1. There were no sims in my exam *but that does not mean that there aren't any in the question pool.
    2. Know scripting and powershell, everything you can do in the GUI make sure you know how to do it this way (and vice versa). *this was a downfall for me
    3. Know core as well as the full server installations *this was one of the downfalls for me

Please be aware that the exam I took was a beta one, questions may be dropped as well as added and the format of the released version of the 70-649 may have a different format to the 71-649.
