    Anyone else doing this ?

I got invited to participate in the beta exam - and as it's free i thought i might aswell give it a go

Not sure what i am going to do regarding revision materials as obviously it being a beta exam there won't be any available.

Just really wanted to seek some advise and see what other people are doing

Well I'd suggest playing around with Vista as much as you can and also reading up on all of the stuff on it on the MS Site.

Good Luck to both of you. :biggrin

Got the invite to signed up for it and got the exam on the 5th of Jan :)

apart from playing around with it, also bought these books from Amazon (they're very thin on the ground, alot of the vista books don't come out until the Feb of 2007 :( ):

    1. Microsoft Windows Vista Unveiled
    2. Introducing Windows Vista (Introducing) and
    3. Windows Vista for Dummies: Special Preview Edition

Also going over their (MS) website and comparing it to the MCDST objectives, I believe that it's very similar, I would assume that everything you know how to do in XP you have to know how to in Vista :unsure plus all the new features of Vista.

Also try out the free e-learning clinic for Vista, see here.

No worries, there's another plus. CBT Nuggets is offering an e-learning CD "Windows Vista - First Look" for $29.00. Got it from from: http://www.cbtnuggets.com/webapp/product?id=337, haven't tried it yet (gonna try it at work, can't be bothered trying it at home :) ), but for the price it can't be that bad.

Ours was pushed back to early April '07. Microsoft was late getting the exam objectives and beta exam out.
