Spose you could do, I think Windows 10 is in full swing though.. think out of the 500 systems at my job maybe 2 are Windows 7 machines.

Opposite holds true here, from what I've seen. I'm still running Win7 at work and at home, and I won't upgrade willingly. None of my side clients run Win10 except a few machines that were force choked with it by Microsoft.

Windows 7 will remain in many places for a very long time, I think @BosonMichael is right. Passing any Microsoft exam shows you mastered the technology, it can only be a good thing. I often think also, if you've got certs in technology that is slightly older, like Windows 7, it just show's you've likely been in IT for a fair amount of time. I'd rather take on someone with this than someone with all of the Win 10 certs if we didn't run Win 10 because the person won't get to use their skills, and likely will lose some, plus many of the new bells and whistles they rely on may not exist in older OSs. Just my 2 cents

My Last job pretty much all the desktops / laptops had been moved to Win10 but the thin clients were still on Win 7 along with a few machines that ran software that wasn't compatible with Win10

yeah pretty much same reason we have like two users on Windows 7.. the apps they use are compatible with 10.

Still mainly on Win 7 here with a few Win10 Laptops and desktops thrown in. Not a big issue for the moment but they need to start looking at upgrading with the ongoing development of our main software.

Most of my customers are running Windows 7 but I have upgraded a few of them to Windows 10 as part of a desktop\laptop refresh. A Windows 7 cert would still be worthwhile.
