    Hi All

Reading through the 70-640 book and when it comes to creating your domain is there an advantage for future learning (thinking Exchange exams here) to have your own domain name ie buy one rather than use the .local when creating the first domain ?

Could pick up a .co.uk for 2 years for about £7 with reg123.co.uk

    cheers
    Mick

You should choose a domain name that is not an external domain name. You can use another domain name or several for your email domains.

There seems to be quite a bit of debate on the web regarding best practice for this anyone else have any input on it ?

For labs and studying? I'd use an internal domain like .local... I don't think there's a need for an external domain unless you're going to be hosting something. Plus you'd save some money too.
