On passing the exam do MS send the certificate to you automatically?

For the 70-270 certificate (my first MCP) i had to order it

I believe M$ are to stop sending out certs soon as part of their green initiative, also the technet magazine is to go online next issue.

I think you will be able to print a copy (whoop de do)

 

So why give me one for 70-270 and not 70-290?

 

because when you passed 70-270, you acheived MCP status. You will not get another certificate until you gain a new status (MCSA, MCSE etc).

 

Not much point asking a question if you ignore the answers given. Read the first reply ...
