Well, I have just taken the past few days off studying after passing 'the beast'. But I have already started to feel the itch to start reading the 70-284 Exchange Server book!

Just wondering what sort of lab to implement, I can run a total of 3 Servers OK in my lab, anything more than that and my laptop starts to struggle (especially as Vista is my OS).

Anyway, I was thinking as follows. Role back to my lab for 70-290 studying, which was:

    Server01 Roles

Domain Controller, DNS, DHCP, Terminal Server & File Server

    Server02 Roles

    WSUS, Print Server & IIS

and create a brand new Server 03 as a Exchange Server

    Will this be enough?

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated :D

Having a dedicated Exchange server 2003 for the 70-284 exam would be a must and also complimenting this with CBT Nugget video's. Best wishes:) as am sure you'd do well.

Pehaps make server 2 an additional Exchange Server so you can configure it as a front end server or even put it in a different subnet and route email between the two exchange servers. 8)

Just finished deploying Server03 as my new Exchange Server.

Installed IIS, NNAT, SMTP, ASP.NET then ran

Forest & Domain Prep and installed Exchange.

Not sure why, but I really enjoyed updating all of my 60 different 'Employee Accounts' to have a Mailbox with Exchange Tasks, it made me feel all warm inside :D

Anyway, time to perform a backup.
