I've decided to treat my main box to some new RAM and I want to max it out at 4GB which is as much as the mobo will take.

In the process of researching various suppliers and costs etc I came across some tech sites that said 4GB (including the pagefile) was the physical limit of RAM that XP could address.

Thinking ahead to Vista (or indeed dual boot with a Linux distro) is it worth me sticking the maximum in and then optimising the pagefile settings etc?
