Generally i have noticed most people taking the path of 70-290 before 70-291, although its up to you, you have to do both at some point anyway!

 

I'd recommend 290 first.

 

yup agree with the rest of the guys 70-290 first and then 70-291.

 

You can take any order ,it is up to you .
although 70-291 is a big jump ,it doesnot matter with the order if you want to take both,
some of them also can pass 70-291 before 70-290.
The most important is to believe in you .

The 70-291 has a huge amount of info you need to know, passing the 70-290 first will help tremendously.
Btw I used the MS-Press books, M$ website and forums such as this to study.
