I have started studying for the 272 and it seems to cover alot of what is in the 271 is this correct? Also which one did people find harder 271 or 272?

There is some overlap between 271 > 272, as it covers some topics on OS side of XP aswell.

Mr Cheeks is right, there is some overlap between the 2 exams. However also note that there is content specific to the 70-272 that isn't in the 70-271 exam (otherwise why have 2 separate exams).

As for which one was harder from a personal perspective, I actually found the 70-272 harder than the 70-271.

I've literally just done the 272 exam which thankfully I passed but I would say I didn't enjoy this one as much as 271. There was definitely alot of overlap including quite afew questions that could have been on either exam.

Yes there is lots of overlap but there is also alot on MS office xp/2003, I found the 272 easier but thats only because in a previous life not much went wrong with the os itself and most questions we received were howdoi's. You do need to have a good strong knowledge on office including the customise menus and all that jazz.
