    Hi All,

I've finally managed to get an interview for a job and its a IT Support Technician.

    Main Duties:
Provide the first line of software and hardware support to the business.
Provide remote support and travel to UK sites.
Maintain and update IT asset and license database.
Create and maintain standard workstation and laptop software builds.
    Monitor backups and resolve problems.
Maintain corporate anti-virus solution at latest revision level.
    Perform regular preventative maintenance.
Key Skills: Experience with Microsoft Windows at an expert user level.
Familiarity with common Windows applications (Office, Web Browsers, etc).
    Knowledge of PC hardware.
Training: A structured training programme which will include a mixture of in-house and external training will be offered to the successful candidate on the satisfactory completion of a 6 months probationary period.

Now the interviewer will gauge my IT competency as he indicated this in the e-mail confirming the date and time. I'm guessing it will be to do with XP, Office, Web browsers but would like more insight to be better prepared. They do know I'm self learning MCSA.

    Thanks for reading :)

I know but all these small things help more proportionately when related to the time it takes to do them. Its like wearing a suit it does not take long to put one on but it helps a lot.
