Sorry, been on hols for a few days. :)
Not sure tbh mate. Cant say ive had any problems like that.

Try restarting your computer next time it happens instead of redoing everything.

If its Avedesk your having probs with then make sure your clicking 'applications - save configuration'. I was going wrong here for a while also and would loose half my icons every restart.
Which was caused by me only saving my configuration after the first half of icons. Redoing the second half and saving my configuration again fixed it.

Let me know if your still having probs and ill let you know what else i can think off.

Oh, it's no real biggy. I've just sent you a couple of questions via Skype chat and didn't get replies. I guess they must not be coming through, or Skype drops them if you're "away" or "not available" rather than sending them on when your status changes.

Just saw this. My comment to Phoenix was said tongue-in-cheek. I just didn't happen to include any emoticons to show it. I wasn't mad, just wondering what happened.

Double click on the Avedesk on the taskbar(beside the clock).
You should find it on the menu bar. 'Application-Save configuration'

well as promised the latest look...with a brief explanation of what I did to get the new icon as My Computer...

as you can see I renamed it Begin Here (perks of being a techie u can modify just about anything) but it was using the original My Computer icon, so after fiddling with te registry and also trying change the icon via the desktop properties I thought how about we physically drag the My Computer icon to the dock (top of the screenshot) and then modify it there? So I did. placed it on the dock as a shortcut changed the icon to the fancy looking windows xp (actually its called Vista) icon...clicked on the new icon and wahey she opened up! if u look at the window in the centre of the screenshot (well of the 19" screenshot) you will notice it added the CLSID of My Computer along with the link to explorer.exe...clearly thats what I was missing...but there you have it people...I am now a happy techie :D got a new look desktop, sexy looking splash screen when my PC boots up and whats more I even have Elisha as my login background as well...life couldnt be sweeter :D I would say its better than sex but thats just taking it too far...:biggrin...
