    Hi guys.

    I posted about 10 days or so ago about going away for a week to be trained for the A+/Network+ with Firebrand Training.

    Quite honestly, I don't think it could have been any better all round. My instructor was bloody fantastic, the course went at a pace that suited me (not dwelling on basic knowledge), and filled in a hell of a lot of blanks for me. Furthermore, to demonstrate how good they are - note that I took every one of the A+ exams, and passed with percentages of 91 - 94.4 for all 4. I also passed my Network+, but it wasn't quite as easy.

    Anyway, this is my testimonial of extremely strong recommendation. One caveat would have to be that you shouldn't go if you're not reasonably well informed on the topic before hand, because it assumes a fair bit of knowledge in some areas. Otherwise, it's fantastic. Call them, and book yourself in.

    That is all.
    Matt. ^_^

    Well done :)

    Why did you tale all 4 A+ exams? you only need to pass 2 to become A+ certified.

    All 4 exams? Honestly dont see why any training school would bother to do that?

    When you say percentage pass marks, CompTIA exams dont use percentages, so are you sure they were CompTIA exams and not just prep tests?

    Sounds like you learned alot though, so well done!

    Basically, I just took them all because I felt confident enough to. I guess that it does demonstrate a diversity of knowledge, even if it's not necessary.

    And I worked out those percentages, based on the scores I got out of 900.

    Keep in mind that those scores are on a scale from 100-900, not 0-900. Plus, the percentage really doesn't mean much, considering some questions may or may not be weighted heavier than others.

    But... all that's irrelevant. What's important is that you passed - congrats!

    Congrats on the A++.
    When the HR / recruiters ask you about it you can tell them you're one of the only few in the world :)
