Is there any downloads I can get or upgrade patches to upgrade from xp home to xp pro the reason I want to this is so I can get vitual pc 2007.

Or is it a case of I would have to purchase xp pro and fully install it?

    greenbrucelee,

So your goal is to be able to use Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. According to the Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 Systems Requirements webpage, it states that the Host operating system must be at least Windows XP Professional. You state that you currently have Windows XP Home Edition, therefore currently you do not meet the minimum system requirements for Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.

According to the "Upgrading from Previous Versions of Windows" webpage, it states that Windows XP Home Edition is eligible for an in-place upgrade to Windows XP Professional. In order to implement the in-place upgrade to Windows XP Professional, then you will need to have in your possession a valid legal copy of the Windows XP Professional media. Therefore the "downloads...or upgrade patch" that you're requesting is called the Windows XP Professional Upgrade version.

p.s. Thanks Raffaz for the System Requirements page link for Virtual PC 2007.
